Abstract :
Radioholographic measurements and mirror surface adjustment were fulfilled for one of the largest Russian fully steerable radiotelescopes-64-meter mirror antenna at the space communication center Medvezhy Ozera near Moscow. The map of mirror distortions was restored with the use of 4 GHz band satellites signals. The surface RMS deviation was near 2 mm. The RMS difference of the maps measured under identical external conditions was about 0.1 mm. After partial adjustment of the mirror surface the antenna efficiency was increased from 0.51 to 0.65 at the 5-cm band. In addition, the stability of surface form was investigated for this antenna by means of comparison of surface maps measured under different external conditions and at different source elevations.
