  • Abstract
The demand for group communications to supply a same service to customer is increasing lately, and thus the support for group oriented multicast service is necessary. For this, an internet accepts IP multicast as a standard protocol. IP multicast can increase network efficiency by decreasing unneeded data stream with the help of network replication model, but its security is weak since it uses opened IP address as a group identifier. In order to solve this problem, a mechanism able to hide group identifier and control group membership safely and efficiently for the group oriented application system should be supplied. In this paper, a different identifier to the sender and receiver of group on the application layer is allowed, and the security model of non-cryptographic group message transfer using a trigger to perform group mapping is suggested. Also, the practicality of the model is verified by constructing a group oriented application system using this to supply a remote lecture to students group. This application model can decrease time which is used to process encryption by the controlled group membership using non-cryptographic, and also can strengthen its security level by hiding the interaction between group members for the changes in their belonging using the logical identifier.
