Abstract
In this work, a novel Y-branch with a similar substrate prism and two tapered output waveguides is proposed and analyzed. The substrate prism design rule is given. In conclusion, a novel Y-junction on LiNbO 3 with wide-angle and low-loss characteristics is proposed. Further waveguide devices such as a Mach-Zehnder interferometer will be of great interest in the future
