  • Abstract
    A simple and efficient implementation of the stretched coordinate perfectly matched layer (SC-PML) based on the Z-transform method is proposed for truncating one-dimensional nonlinear dispersive finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) lattices. The main advantage of the proposed PML formulations is that no auxiliary variable is required to update the electric flux density and the magnetic field in one-dimensional case. The proposed algorithm is validated through a numerical example carried out in one-dimensional domain which includes Lorentz dispersion as well as Kerr and Raman nonlinearities.
