Abstract
In summary, we have proposed a novel all-optical wavelength converter by using erbium-doped fiber ring laser with fiber grating. The converted wavelength is simply determined by the fiber grating. Any converted signals can easily be acheived by using the fibre grating with the corresponding wavelength. By proper adjustment this polarisation-insensitive wavelength converter is able to have high SNR, output power and extinction ratio
