Abstract
The terminal voltage series type active power filter is developed. The filter reduces output voltage harmonics in a wide range of load. It is effective for liner and nonlinear load from no load to full load operation. The filter consists of passive LC component and H-transistor bridge as active part. The DC link of the bridge is supplied from the AC supply system. The control concept is based on constant average DC link voltage. Theory of the filter operation and results of simulation study are presented for cases of linear and nonlinear loads
