Abstract :
Compact antenna test range (CATR) is an effective way for millimeter/sub millimeter antenna testing. In this paper, geometric optics (GO) method is utilized to design a tri-reflector CATR, the advantages of which lie in high reflector usage and low manufacture cost compared with conventional single reflector CATR. Kinematic and dynamic ray tracing theory is used to determine surface parameters of the two shaped subreflectors during the process. A double-Gregorian tri-reflector CATR is designed as an example at last.
