Abstract :
This paper presents the DEM (Data Exchange and Management) architecture, an information exchange facility for virtual enterprises based on the OMG´s CORBA. This facility enables different cooperating organizations to exchange data between autonomous systems in a flexible manner. The architecture provides access to information and services across system boundaries, locations, data representations and organizations
