Abstract
The DC/DC power converter including the equivalent series resistances (ESR) of output capacitor and inductor has been modeled using state-space representation. The AC-small signal models are derived to obtain the transfer functions of the system to tune the digital PID controller in order in voltage-mode control and current-mode control. The digital PID-controller parameters are optimized to achieve the output system requirements. The variations of the ESR of output capacitor obviously affect on the dynamic of the system and therefore on the tuning parameters of the digital PID controllers. The simulation results show the improvements of the system dynamic using digital PID controller
