Abstract
The upgrade of the access networks, in terms of bandwidth, has already started. This affects the structure of the network at the subscriber´s entry point, i.e. the access node, or at the corporate subscriber´s premises. Changes in the power requirements of these nodes are a natural consequence, calling for adapted products and solutions at an increasing pace. These requirements are analysed, and several examples of practical solutions are presented
