Abstract
Many recent phenomena have underlined the significance of business change. The corresponding disciplines involve the manipulation and observation of various types of information. Visualisation is an important aspect regarding the use of this knowledge within a variety of tools to assist engineers and enterprise stakeholders in performing business change activities. This work deals with supporting the visualisation of enterprise data within an application development environment. In particular, we describe a mechanism for enabling the visual presentation of query results according to several pre-defined semantic patterns. The architecture of the corresponding system involves the provision of software components that can be plugged into applications to transform tabular query results to more expressive, visual scenes
