Abstract :
The structures of antennas have become very complex and are often described by an important number of electrical and geometrical parameters (dielectric constant, losses, conductivity of materials). Furthermore, the objectives concern generally the input impedance variation within a limited zone of the Smith chart, and/or variations of the radiation patterns. We present original applications of the genetic algorithm. It concerns the optimization of: matched slot coupled patch antennas; and matched dual or tri-frequencies antenna.
