  • Abstract
An analytical technique for computing 60 Hz magnetic field strength in the vicinity of distribution lines and transmission lines is presented. The magnetic field density or intensity as a function of distance (horizontal or vertical) from the source and the ellipsoid contours of the magnetic field vectors are the output of the proposed algorithm. The algorithm is utilized for deducing the magnetic field of different designs of transmission and distribution facilities. Several hypothetical cases have been simulated, and the results of three cases are documented
