Abstract :
Faculty IT usage intention will affect the IT performance in higher education. However, little is known about the critical effect factors of the faculty IT usage intention. Based on three robust intention models which are widely applied in the behavioral intention research, the present study empirically analyzes the critical effect factors of the faculty IT usage intention in higher education. Results show that attitude is the critical effect factor of the faculty IT usage intention, and perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have significant effects on the attitude. Subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and perceived usefulness have no direct significant effects on the faculty IT usage intention. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed, and future research direction is put forwarded.
