Research on the development strategy of economic development zone

Compared with foreign research history, the theoretical study and practical exploration on economic development zone in China has only been engaged for 20 years, and is still at a preliminary stage. Relative to the important role and the status of economic and technological development zone, the theory research results in this area are relatively lacking, and the research depth, study angle and systematization still needs further development and improvement. Based on defining the meaning of the economic development zone, the article described the interactive development mechanisms between economic development zones and regions and proposed its development models, which takes regional development and urbanization, industrial clusters, management system as the support system, from the perspective of system theory.
