Abstract
Mini-UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) have been the subject of a large number of successful designs aimed to research, commercial and military purposes. Although a Mini-UAV platform can be considered as a miniaturized aircraft, due the presence of plant uncertainties, flight dynamic analysis and control system design are critical, and suitable robustness techniques need to be elaborated. In this paper, within the frame of the design of a Mini-UAV platform for environmental monitoring, fire detection and prevention, we present an innovative strategy based on powerful methods provided by the theory of randomized algorithms.
