Abstract :
The signature of SPCOM has always been the high quality of its contributed program, and this edition of the conference series is no exception. A total of 217 papers were submitted for review, out of which 80 papers made it to the final conference program, Of these 80 papers, 68 were accepted for oral presentation and 12 for poster presentation. The overall acceptance rate was roughly 37% (80/217). About half the accepted papers (41 out of 80, to be exact) are from the IITs and IISc. The NITs and IIITs account for 12 papers, and a further 12 come from other Indian universities and institutes. We have 6 papers from government research labs (DRDO and ISRO) and 3 from the industry. From outside India, there are 4 papers from US universities, and 2 from NTU, Singapore. Researchers from outside India have also collaborated with domestic researchers on some papers: two of the papers attributed above to the IITs are in fact collaborations with the University of British Columbia, and among the 12 papers attributed to "other Indian universities," one is a collaboration with the University of Rennes, France.
