Abstract
In this paper design and development of a light weight 2 × 2 rectangular linearly polarized microstrip patch antenna array operating at 5.8GHz is presented with simulated and measured results. This antenna configuration is mostly useful in satellite applications. The proposed antenna configuration is designed and optimized by simulation studies using Zeland IE3D simulation software, which is based on the Method of Moment (MOM).
