Abstract :
This paper presents the design of a DSP-based control system for a three-phase PWM boost rectifier with a novel circuit topology. In the control system, relatively slower and cheaper 14 bit D/A circuits, controlled by DSP, are used to generate sinusoidal current reference waves, and analog circuits are used to perform fast hysteresis current comparison. Digital DC voltage control is realized by modifying the amplitude of the current reference signals. The very fast execution speed and powerful peripheral structure of the TMS320C50 DSP are used to improve the control response. This hybrid control technique gives the designed controller fast response capability, high control accuracy, and better dynamic performance with low cost
