Abstract :
A 3D solid model for gripper structure was built with 3D modeling software Pro-e to further improve the structure. Finite-element analysis software ANSYS was applied for mechanical analysis of gripper structure to investigate the stress status of grippers with different structures under certain force; by reference to the results, related mechanical properties were compared to obtain the stress distribution of grippers with different structures. Results show that through structure improvement, the stress can be reduced significantly under identical external conditions and stress conditions, and deformation can be reduced as well.
