Abstract :
In this paper, we demonstrate ultrafast all-optical switching using differential spin excitation for all-optical serial-to-parallel conversion in normal MQWs with very high excitonic nonlinearity and long carrier lifetime. The MQWs provides extremely high extinction ratio, very high switching efficiency, and ultrafast switching time independent of the spin relaxation time and carrier lifetime.
