Abstract
Efficient utilization of electrical power in industries is a critical problem of today´s world because wastage of power increases the unit production cost. Electrical power conservation (EPCON) is as important as power production because resources of energy on earth are limited. The resources are decreasing day by day due to continuous and increasing utilization in daily life and industrial productions. In this research, power conservation in low power consuming loads (LPCL) in textile industry is evaluated and implemented. Active control, auto control, replacement of power inefficient items with efficient items, optimization and standardization are the major measures taken to achieve the power conservation in low power loads in textile industry.
