Abstract :
This paper presents the genetic algorithm technique for supporting the process of complex systems simulation. Such technique can be seen as an option to the traditional simulation data modeling and analysis techniques. Due to its inherent simplicity and generic application, it simplifies the whole process of simulation, demanding no specific knowledge over the problem domain. A genetic algorithm based computational tool for the simulation of such systems is presented, and an example of its use is analyzed, thus demonstrating the feasibility of this new technique application in simulation processes
