Abstract :
In this paper, we examine the dependence of the compressibility of a photonic crystal fibers (PCF)-generated supercontinuum (SC) on its spectral stability and coherence. We use a stochastic nonlinear Schrodinger equation model and consider SC generation in a 10 cm PCF with zero dispersion at 770 nm. We determine the coherence from an ensemble of 128 numerical simulations with different initial random quantum noise.
