Abstract :
In this paper, a large core-area (1257 μm2) Tm3+-doped ZBLAN fiber laser operated at 1.47 μm was demonstrated. Nd:YAG laser operated at 1.064 μm was used as pump source. A laser output power of 1.56 W CW was obtained for 5.2 W of launched pump power.
