Abstract
An inverse QR iterative algorithm is derived for calculating practical adaptive weights based on the space-time multiple-beam (STMB) approach. It is suitable for improving the detection performance of the STMB approach in all interesting ranges. Simulation results indicate that the inverse QR iterative algorithm can improve the performance of the STMB approach in all ranges for nonhomogeneous clutter environments, and hence it is suitable for practical airborne phased array radar applications.
