Abstract
The problem of providing robustness to the conventional narrow-band uniform linear array configuration so as to handle wide-band and moving jammers is addressed here. This robustness is achieved via the use of particle swarm optimization algorithm to solve the problem of optimized antenna element weight that provides wideband deep nulls in the direction of jammers. However, since the jammer directions are not fixed they vary with the environment and time the ability to provide suitable fast adapted solution is required. Computer simulation results are presented, which show that the algorithms proposed here yield significantly fast and optimized.
