The application of AI planning technology to crisis management tasks

This paper discusses the application of artificial intelligence (AI) planning technology to crisis management tasks in the context of several case studies involving military and non-military crisis management activities. In particular, the paper briefly outlines various crisis management tasks, highlights key decision-support and decision-making capabilities provided by AI planning technology, describes various crisis management domains in which they have been successfully demonstrated, and explores how these capabilities can be integrated with existing commercial software products
