Abstract
This work proposes a new dipole-array assisted Doppler spread compensator with maximal ratio combining (MRC) diversity. The proposed dipole-array antenna is not only capable of compensating for performance degradation due to large Doppler spread, but also improving the bit error rate (BER) performance in multipath fading channel by making use of MRC space diversity jointly performed with the dipole-array. The proposed dipole-array can easily be put on the side window of the vehicle.
