Abstract :
Switchgear operation is increasingly determined by electronic components. Powerful electronics allow the implementation of functions by means of software rather than hardware and hence the achievement of economic savings. This paper discusses the introduction of new low-power transformers. With these transformers, we are coming closer to achieving universally useable switchgear panels which are independent of load and network conditions, since just one transformer type fulfils all of the protection and measurement requirements, rendering individual transformer selection superfluous. In addition to technical details, this paper focuses on the tasks to be solved, a practical implementation and an application scenario
