Abstract :
A new type of cross-coupled filters with mixed source and load coupling (MSLC) is presented in this study. Then, N+1 transmission zeros can be obtained in the Nth-order cross coupled geometry. An open-loop structure is further adopted to realize the MSLC in substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) filters. As an example, a third-order SIW cross-coupled filter with MSLC was designed, with good agreement obtained between its measured and the simulated S-parameters.
