Abstract :
A Ka-band aperture-coupled patch antenna with stacked rectangular rings (SRRs) based on low temperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) technology is proposed in this paper. To improve the radiation performance of the antenna , three stacked rectangular rings are mounted above the microstrip patch acting as directors. To feed and test the antenna conveniently, a stripline to microstrip transition is also designed. By the designed structure, a high gain, about 9.6 dBi, is achieved; and the fractional bandwidth of -10dB return loss is 7.8%, from 34.4 GHz to 37.2 GHz.
