Abstract
This study presents experimental and theoretical investigations that show the influence of electrons on the harmonic generation process. This investigation uses a 100 fs Ti-sapphire laser at 800 nm and a 400 fs KrF-excimer laser at 248 nm to optimize conversion efficiency by control of the phase matching and for studies of novel high-order parametric amplification and gain transfer process.
