Abstract
This paper investigates a number of soft switched IGBT based boost converters suitable for high power applications. In order to reduce the number of active devices, only passive snubber arrangements are considered. The soft switching range and the IGBT volt-amp stresses for each of these topologies is studied. Simulation and experimental results are given to validate the results
