Abstract :
This study deals with the stability of self-phase-locked pump-enhanced singly resonant optical parametric oscillator. The stability of this system is investigated using an approximate analytical model based on McLaurin expansion of the resonant pump and signal field, and using a full numerical propagation model. The upper branch solutions are always found to be stable, regardless of the degree of pump enhancement. The domain of existence of stationary states is found to critically depend on the phase mismatch of the second harmonic generation process.
