Abstract :
In this paper, a new numerical method to solve the time-domain electric field integral equation (TD-EFIE) for arbitrary conducting thin wire antennas in free space is presented. In this formulation which is called time-domain method of moment (TD-MoM), triangular spatial and temporal basis functions are used. By employing the Galerkin´s method in spatial domain and the point matching in time domain, it is shown that the integrals involved in the formulation can be evaluated analytically for parallel thin-wire antennas. This advantage of TD-MoM decreases the computation time drastically. The accuracy of method is examined by comparing its results with several EM solvers at hand.
