Abstract :
Recently, multiband OFDM (MB-OFDM) ultra wideband (UWB) communication system is actively investigated for high speed wireless communications. In this system, frequency hopping (FH) and OFDM are implemented for high data-rate transmission. However this combination of FH and OFDM makes frequency offset as a considerable problem. In this paper, a novel frequency offset compensation scheme for MB-OFDM by symbol mapping at frequency spreading is proposed, and its performance is evaluated through the computer simulation. Additionally, frequency offset estimation scheme using channel estimation symbols is proposed and evaluated
