Abstract :
Today, distance protections are widely used to protect HV and VHV lines. In order to save the communication channels, they can be operated in a nonunit scheme. This paper describes an algorithm based on the detection of the circuit breaker opening at the distant line terminal and gives an estimation of its overall performance depending on different parameters
