Abstract :
This work presents a detailed scenario of spatiotemporal dynamics of femtosecond pulses in optical step-index waveguides with the third-order non-linearity embedded. High peak intensities (up to 100 GW/cm2) and complex (2+1)D evolution of spatial and temporal field distributions give rise to new effects which have not been observed in the bulk materials.
