New developments in low voltage air circuit breaker technology

Air circuit breaker (ACB) technology has remained relatively static over the last decade but the latest products now coming on to the market have dramatically altered this situation. This paper draws attention towards the importance of advances in ACB technology and its integral protection relay. In doing so, it also explains how these new and innovate designs can add true value to the protection of low-voltage distribution systems
