Abstract
Presents a concept for a comprehensive automated management support system which provides day-to-day management support, executive-oriented summary level information, the metrics reports for a system program office (SPO). The basis of this system is an integrated set of automated tools which meet specific functions requirements: schedule, cost, documentation, configuration and data management, engineering manufacturing/quality assurance, contracts, logistics, safety, test and evaluation, and personnel/administrative management. A discussion of each of these areas is included. Metrics and summary level information systems extract data from the working level systems for presentation to higher level managers. External reporting can be similarly extracted from the working level data sets
