Abstract

Constructing the logistics network within an urban agglomeration is the urban basis of economic development. The paper selects the urban agglomeration of Yangtze River Delta which is more developed zone as a comparison, and then to discuss the coordinated development between logistics industry and the urban agglomeration in Jing-Jin-Ji area. The article measures the core cities´ radiation of logistics industry in the urban agglomeration by using Herfindahl index which is usually used in industrial economics, and takes the regression analysis to explore the role of modern logistics industry in the regional economic development.
