Empirical study about the evaluation of the implantation of MPS.Br in enterprises of Paraná

The demand for software development companies has increased in recent years and with this emerges the need for process improvement to reduce costs and development time, thus ensuring the competitiveness and quality of the final product. This paper examines the model deployment scenario of the Brazilian Software Process Improvement (MPS.BR) in software companies of the Parana state, through a survey. The results show that after the implementation of the model companies achieved improvements in the quality of the process, information traceability, product quality, identification of customer needs, ease of coordination and reduction of dependence. The main difficulties are related to knowledge and understanding of the model.
