Abstract :
A broadband monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) is described that continuously tunes from 2.5 GHz to 6.0 GHz (85% bandwidth). Changing the tuning inductance allows band selection from 1.5 to 6.0 GHz. The circuit was designed using both linear and nonlinear computer-aided design (CAD).<>
