Abstract
This study investigates the different dynamics in the photoisomerisation of cis- and trans-azobenzene. By femtosecond absorption spectroscopy, the time scale of kinetics of both directions are determined. Transient absorption and steady state fluorescence spectra of trans- and cis-azobenzene after 480 nm excitation are presented.
