Abstract
This paper presents the structure of X-Cell, a 3D cellular robotic system. X-Cell utilizes a pivot motion in 3D space so that re-configurability is guaranteed for any arbitrary initial and final structures. Mechanical structure at conceptual level is presented and simulation results for various motion planning using X-Cell are demonstrated.
