Abstract :
A computer model of a multidielectric multiconductor system has been developed. The solution of the field equations of the system has yielded a powerful computer-aided-design (CAD) tool suitable for use in the design of microstrip-based overlay couplers. The method of analysis of the system is presented together with theoretical predictions of the performance of the couplers. Comparisons are made between a set of previously measured results and the theoretical performance predicted from this method.<>
