Abstract
This paper describes design optimization and analysis of reluctance synchronous linear motor with solid or laminated moving part (secondary). The calculation of the motor performance is described using analytical and numerical methods. The main advantage of this system is the removing of permanent magnet secondary and replacing it with reluctance type secondary. The main object of this paper is designing of reluctance synchronous linear motor with the maximum power factor and output thrust force. In this model long primary (armature) and short secondary is evaluated. Distributed winding is considered for design and analysis.
