Abstract
This paper studies soliton regimes of light pulse propagation and transient processes in optically dense media with the near dipole-dipole interaction. It is shown that such an interaction permits the soliton propagation to be realized while the pulse duration is not only less than both irreversible relaxation times T1 and T2 but also when it falls between T2 ≪ τp ≪ T1.
