Abstract :
A general approach to the characterization of both uniform and discontinuous coupled-finline structures is presented. The analysis method is the generalized transverse resonance technique of R. Sorrentino and T. Itoh (see IEEE Trans. Microwave Theor. and Tech., vol. MTT-32, p.1633-8, 1984). This analysis is carried out by expanding the fields in terms of hybrid modes in the transverse direction. Computed results are in good agreement with available data.<>
